Who They Are
Surrey Wildlife Trust is a wildlife charity and is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK. They are committed to increasing the diversity and abundance of native wildlife in Surrey.
What They do
Surrey’s nature is in decline, with evidence suggesting that the county is one of the most nature-depleted places in the entire UK. With the support of their volunteers and members, Surrey Wildlife Trust is working tirelessly to turn the tide on nature’s decline and to ensure that people and nature can thrive in Surrey.
The Trust cares for over 60 nature reserves which are home to a wide range of habitats and wildlife, and they work with local organisations and landowners to protect and connect wildlife sites across the county.
They also inspire the local community and young people to care for wildlife at their homes and in their school grounds, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to become wildlife champions.
